Ingredients πŸ…πŸ§‚πŸ«’πŸ₯•

  • 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil

  • 1 Carrot

  • 2 Brown Onions, sliced

  • 2 Cloves Garlic, chopped

  • 1 Can Chopped Tomatoes

  • 1 Tablespoon Sugar

  • 100ml Water (Just over a β…“ of a cup)

  • Basil Leaves

  • Dried Parsley

  • Dried Oregano

  • Salt and Pepper

Method πŸ“–

1. Heat Olive Oil: Place olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Cook Onions: Add the sliced onion to the saucepan and fry until it starts to soften
3. Add Carrots: Peel and slice the carrot into rounds, then add to the onions. Cook until softened
4. Add Tomatoes and Water: Stir in chopped tomatoes and water
5. Season the Sauce: Add herbs and seasonings to enhance the flavour
6. Simmer the Sauce: Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking
7. Blend Until Smooth: Once cooked, use a handheld blender to blend the sauce until smooth.
8. Store: Allow to cool and refrigerate.

Your homemade tomato sauce is now ready to complement your pizza or favourite dishes!
